65 Years of Masonic Service!

Every Lodge has them, and every Lodge needs them.  What are we talking about?  Those who have walked the path ahead of us.  Brothers who became more than Brothers, who mentored us through the occasional steep learning curve.  Whether quietly leading by assisting in the background, or standing front-and-center, each organization depends on them.  We certainly do, and have.

Our most recent meeting gave us an opportunity to celebrate one of these members.  WB Larry Knapp was presented with a pin and certificate commemorating his 65-years of Masonic Service to La Rue Lodge.  In addition to having served our Lodge as Worshipful Master, he served as Secretary for 30 years, and authored a publication, "La Rue Lodge #463 - Our First 100 Years".  That publication can be found elsewhere on this site, and according to Larry only took "a couple of months" to put together.

Below is a photo of WB Knapp, WM Brian Lightfoot, and RWB Scott Zwiezinski, DDGM, who made the formal presentation.

The following photo includes those who also witnessed the event.

The only regret we had from the evening was that we failed to get a photo of the pizza supper that preceded the meeting.  By the time we realized it, all that was left was empty boxes.  Maybe next time?

Till the next time,

                         See you in Lodge!
