The times they are a changing ... Again!

It seems like as soon as we think everything is on cruise control we have another adjustment to make.  This time it is our meeting location - just for a while!

Our meeting location will be temporarily changed.  During the months of February and March 2023 we will be meeting in Richwood instead of La Rue.  Mt. Carmel #303 (139 N. Franklin Street, Richwood, OH) will be the location for our Stated meetings on February 1, February 15, March 1, March 15, and our MM Inspection on Saturday, March 25.

As explained in earlier contacts, our present location was deemed unsuitable for a MM Inspection.  Why?  The occupancy limit for our Lodge room is 45, as it was previously a classroom.  As if that weren't enough, we don't have the kitchen or dining facilities that our previous location offered.  Mt. Carmel to the rescue!  They offered the use of their facility, and we accepted their generous offer.  It was decided we would need some practice in the “new” location, so a Dispensation was requested, and granted, to use Mt. Carmel as our meeting place in February and March.

Our Stated Meetings will start at our usual time, 7:30pm.  Doors to the building will open at 7pm.

Our Inspection , March 25th, is scheduled to start at 5pm.  Doors will open at 4:30pm.  A dinner will be available after the First Section, approximately 6pm.  Following the meal the Second Section will be presented, followed by comments by the District Education Officer and District Deputy Grand Master.

Starting with our Stated Meeting on April 5, 2023, we will return to meeting at the modular building, 350 N. High Street, La Rue, OH.  Meeting time will remain 7:30pm.

One additional detail needs to be mentioned.  The MM degree requires a larger number of participants than the EA or FC degrees.  One of the requirements for Inspection is that all roles must be covered by the Lodge being inspected.  If you are able to assist in any of these roles, please let us know.

In other news, the LaRue Community Alliance has started holding monthly lunches for senior citizens.  They are free, start at noon, and are followed by social time and some card playing. No reservations are required, just show up and enjoy!  The next lunches will be held on Thursday, February 9, and Thursday, March 9

That's all we know for now.  Take care, stay warm, and we'll

See you at Lodge!
