It has been a busy time for us. Grand Lodge has come and gone, we had a special meeting to confer the MM degree, and there are many more things on the horizon.

Our Special Meeting was held on 10-31-09, raising our most recent candidate. It was quite an event, as we had 6 visitors from outside the District assisting with the work. The bulk were from Orient Lodge #321, Waverly, Ohio, who made a day of the experience. And as the dust was settling, additional petitions were requested. Sounds like a great problem!

One bit of news that might otherwise get lost in our activity concerns our roof. As one of the longest-running concerns of any building, ours has again been refurbished. More accurately, it has been re-coated. The project was a little more expensive than we'd prefer, but such is the price of staying dry. And we all like that.

As far as we know at this time, here are the important events in our future:

November 3, 2009. Election day! They don't call it participatory government for nothing. Make your thoughts on candidates and issues count.

November 4, 2009.
Annual meeting. Our 2009-10 slate of officers will be chosen. Attend, and make your voice heard. Maybe even take an office!

November 7, 2009.
Installation of WB Frank Egelsky III as DEO of the 15th Masonic District. The event will start at 7:30pm at Chester Lodge #238.

November 12, 2009.
Installation of WB Orville Tussing as DEO of the 15th Masonic District. The event will start at 7:30pm at Oliver Lodge #447.
